Way back inYr 12 I loved a subject called 'Life Management' for its focus on people.
Teaching was a way that could best support these aspects in teens and in schools. Combined with my passion for music I thrived in any capacity where I could connect with others and lead experiences and groups in ways that were fun, motivating and purposeful.
While teaching I became increasingly aware and passionate about the need for proactive initiatives that could support students and staff, promote unity and impact school culture. I longed to increase the impact and exposure students were having to support and mentoring.
In 2017, I took a year of leave to reassess and be present with my very young children. Midway through that year, the call to create grew strong.
One day I created a “presentation.” I remember saying to my mum, “I created a slideshow today, and I have no idea why!”
Exactly 1 week later I received a call from a mentor and friend asking if myself and another dear friend if we would like to create and deliver a student workshop.
It was a whole hearted YES.
During the 'covid era' when all work as I knew it ceased, it allowed me the chance to once again create. Specifically in the area of Mentoring.
Free to Be Resources was born of that time and a desire to continue to be of service.
I continue to remain excited about creating programs and opportunities that lift spirit and elevate human experience!
Natalie
An experienced educator and speaker and known for her ability to connect with audiences with authenticity and purpose.
A graduate of Emmaus College and the Australian Catholic University, Natalie built her early career at St John Paul II Catholic College (formerly Terra Sancta College) as a Music and Religion Teacher. During that time Natalie engaged in a range of leadership positions and initiatives.
Natalie has worked across primary, secondary and tertiary education and continues to collaborate with a range of educators, leaders and professionals who support teens and young adults.
Natalie has delivered and developed an extensive range of programs in schools and educational settings. She has spoken to thousands of students in a range of schools and dioceses and most recently expanded her teaching into tertiary education supporting beginner teachers.
She continues to help individuals and groups build confidence, develop practical skills and navigate challenges with clarity. Known for her thoughtful and grounded approach, she brings both professional experience, genuine care and meaningful impact to every program she presents.
